Monsta Luther King is not your ordinary artist. At first glance one would quickly confuse the heavily tattooed, street educated rapper for just your average street rapper talking about drugs and money, but Monsta Luther will be quick to correct the confusion and let you know that "I am very familiar with the streets because that is where I come from, just like any other young black male that grew in poverty. But I am by no means content with that past". Hence the name Monsta Luther King. This urban artist says " I use the name Monsta Luther King not to disrespect the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. but to make people aware of the fact that I speak the language of the streets and these kids listen and understand me. The name Monsta represents all of young black America. We are considered this from first sight. They are afraid of us so we are outcasted, but I am here to educate our youth and make them listen!
