A ‘Jaee originally from New Britain, Connecticut was raised in Columbia, SC. The name A’Jaee came from a nickname that was given to her as a teen when classmates used to sing Reminisce of Curtis Blows “Ajaee”. As a child, she was no stranger to music with her mother being a choir director at her local church. This allowed A’Jaee to start in music as a child when she sang as a member of the youth choir in church.
